Project Description

15 Beekman | Pace University recently celebrated the Grand Opening of its brand-new building at 15 Beekman, situated in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District.

This striking 27-story tower stands as a testament to Pace University’s ongoing investment in its Lower Manhattan campus. The facility houses a student residence for approximately 500 students, dining amenities, a cutting-edge library, tech-forward classrooms, and dedicates three floors to the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems.

We were privileged to have contributed to this project by providing innovative facades of composite metal panels and punched windows that not only enriched the aesthetic and functionality of the complex, but also seamlessly blended with Manhattan’s iconic cityscape. This achievement showcases the tremendous efforts, creativity and problem-solving skills of our experienced team and partners.

Looking deeper into the specifics of our contribution to the 15 Beekman project:

👉 Punched windows posed a significant design challenge due to the need for a custom lateral receptor system tailored to handle different slab deflections
👉 172 curtain wall units installed, along with 435 window walls. These windows posed a unique challenge as they required custom lateral receptors system, specifically designed to accommodate differential slab deflections.
👉 The building’s cladding consists of 4650 single metal panels. Overcoming the complexities of cladding, curtain wall units, stick systems, and punched windows, we have handled over 1,000 different metal panel types.
👉 Claddings, curtain wall units, stick system for the storefront
