Project Description

The Flatiron House project, located in the renowned Flatiron District at 39 West 23rd Street in Nwe York, is made up of a pair of buildings with different heights: the south tower rises up to 10 stories, while the north tower is 24 story high with a setback at the
18th floor and a section that gained the building the appellative of “cantilevering puzzle”.

This exceptional condo development, consisting of two buildings linked by a lush interior garden, has become a benchmark in Manhattan’s real estate landscape.
What sets it apart, beyond its distinct aesthetics, is the custom-designed aluminum window wall system. This system includes over fifty Wicona inswing windows, fixed glazing, and various double-leaf & sliding systems.
For this project, we crafted glass parapets integrated with 15mm solid aluminum and custom-designed, laser-cut balustrades, combined in various configurations as specified by the architect.

The main challenge of this project was creating windows, terrace doors and sliders that passed the requirements of the NFRC Protocol.
