Designed by world-renowned, Pritzker Prize award-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron, PUBLIC HOTEL is located in the Bowery neighborhood on the Lower East Side, the birthplace of counterculture and the crossroad of the city’s most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods.
Public Hotel is one of a rash of new high-end hotels designed by the Swiss architects, and sports a streamlined aesthetic that uses polished concrete, bamboo and bleached wood to achieve a sleek feeling.
A slender residential tower that sits on a compact volume, the building has large windows with special operable sloped and frameless glazed corners that maximizes the overall presence of glass
